Movement and Groove. In 2012, Kush released UBK-1 into a world where no one expected plugin compressors to have any special or interesting atmosphere. Built on the precise models of the strange and aggressive kinks developed by Gregory Scott for the enigmatic UBK Fatso hardware, the UBK-1 was the first plugin to give ITB mixers a motion and groove-based tool that allowed you to blindly turn a few knobs to quickly achieve sounds and textures that were generally the same as those found on other mixers, unexpected and new, yet still useful.
